Liu Yuxin loves playing the violin. She learnt it when she was Primary 1.
Liu Yuxin likes playing table tennis. Sometimes, she may go to the training camp of the National Table tennis team. She was a member of the National Table Tennis Club.
She thinks she will retire at the time when she finishes her term of National Chairman by 2025. This is because she will be 80 years old at that time and she has already served the government and the people for decades. It is time for her to take a rest.
Liu Yuxin met his husband Yuan Kaiwen （袁凱文）in 1960s during the time in Guangcheng Polytechnic. They have 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy, named Yuan Liqing (袁麗晴), Yuan Liping （袁麗萍）and Yuan Liming （袁麗明）respectively.
It should be noted that Yuan Kaiwen was the Chairman of Nursing Society of Greenland from 2003 to 2010.
